MOST Bodrum, "Turkey Tournaments Record" of which was broken with the 116 kg Tuna Fish caught in the tournament of 2017, will witness a competition in an exciting festival atmosphere in 2018, being hosted by Yalıkavak Marina.


Being organised within the frame of the rules of IGFA (International Game Fish Association), which is based in the USA and celebrated its 77th Anniversary last year, 50 sport fisher boats and 450 contestants can participate in MOST Bodrum (Mediterranean Offshore Sportfishing Tournament).




The duty of IGFA, which is represented by Dr. Serdar Günseren and Elvio Pennetti in Turkey, is to take the records regarding sport fishing under record, to determine and approve the rules in this field, and to protect the fresh water and salt water aquatic lives all over the world.




In the tournament that will last 4 days, the boats with suitable equipment for participation will catch swordfish and tuna fish as well as other fish species that give plenty of hunts in the region, and will win scores according to the lengths and weights of the fish they catch. In addition, leaving the fish they catch back in the sea in good condition will render them closer to the big prize with the high scores they will earn.
